Last year, the last day of summer business was reached without snow accumulating at Tsugaike Nature Park, but this year, the first snow accumulated about 1 cm as early as Saturday, October 17th. This morning it was a sunny day with repeated sunshine and shade. Most of the climbers headed for Hakuba Norikuradake on the first train, Tsugaike Ropeway, and it was around 9:30 when people started to enter the nature park in earnest.

Due to the cold weather in the early morning, there was thin ice on some ponds. The autumn leaves in the park are completely finished except for the Yase ridge. Haimatsu and bamboo grass, green of Oshirabiso and white trunk of Dakekamba stand out for the magnificence of the Ushiro-Tateyama mountain range.I was standing (photo).

By the way, the wooden path (photo) between Ukishima Marsh and Ginmeisui has been completed, making it easier to walk (photo). When there are many clouds and the sun goes down, it sometimes freezes in the north wind. At the innermost Yaseone, the yellow-colored larch left an impression.

The autumn leaves were in the final stages along the Tsugaike Panorama Way (photo). Regarding the mountain lodges around Tsugaike, Hakuba Ooike Sanso and Tsugaike Hutte will be closed on Saturday, October 17th, and Hakuba Sanso will be closed on Sunday, October 18th. Accommodation at Tsugaike Sanso ends on Saturday, October 24th, but restaurants and shops are open until Saturday, October 31st, the final day. In addition, the “Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort 60th Anniversary Event” will be held in front of the gondola intermediate station on Saturday, October 24th and Sunday, October 25th this weekend.
