Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny2020.Jun.10

20060901_tsugaikeThe weather has been fine for these 5 days from 7th of June (Sun), even though it’s almost getting into the rainy season. On 9th of June (Tue), the summer mountains brightened with the fresh leaves were spreading out under the gondola. The temperature reached to 18 degrees at 8:00 a.m. and was nice to enjoy trekking without a jacket.

20060902_tsugaikeIn Mizubasho Marsh, Mizubasho (Skunk Cabbage) started to bloom a few days earlier than usual, because it’s been warmer up around 2 degrees from the end of May than the last year. The 70% of the flowers are getting open and they are supposed to be in full bloom in the next week. We could see Ryukinka which has cute yellow petals as well.

20060903_tsugaikeThe face of Northern Alps were also covered with a bit pale, but fresh green trees. As you can see on the photo, the snow on the wooden paths had been almost disappeared in that area. However, the route toward Watasuge Marsh has still some snow and the marks of pink ribbons on poles show us where to walk.

20060904_tsugaikeOn the way back to the village, I visited Tsuga-no-mori Walkway (Approx. 700 meters long) between the summit station of the gondola and the foot station of Ropeway. Around the walkway, Sankayo (Photo) were opening its characteristic petals which look like thin enough to be almost clear with rain drops. Also, Kinugasaso which has big white flowers started to bloom. We will show you the further areas of the nature park on the next report tomorrow.
