The sunlight was cast and blocked off by clouds again and again this morning. However, it looked to be good weather in the upper part over clouds, so I climbed up to Hakuba Oike Big Pond. The wooden paths in Tenguppara were repaired and got better to walk. The glass started to change the color as well as the marshes in Tsugaike Nature Park.

I found red, yellow and orange leaves among the deep green plants and especially, the bright red leaves of Nanakamado were so beautiful. There are still many good trees of it, so the autumn tints in late-September will be more wonderful.

The sunlight was cast during I was climbing up the east face of Mt. Hakuba Norikura and I got hotter and hotter. When I looked back, the clouds were in front of my eyes and Tenguppara was still in the shades. Today was a weekday, so the hikers started to come gradually after 10:00 a.m.

In the upper part of the east face, there was still remaining snow even after the summer. The feel of snow after a long while made me excited. It was foggy because of the cool snow, but we could see the blue sky in over the ridge.

After 2 hours walk from Tsugaike Ropeway, I got to the ridge of Mt. Hakuba Norikura (2,469m). The refreshing wind cooled me down comfortably. I took a rest at the cairn and then, I left to Hakuba Oike Big Pond.
