Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny2016.Jun.01
Today, June 1 (Wed.), Tsugaike Panorama Way and Tsugaike Nature Park start the operations. It was a little cold, 9 degrees, because of the cold wave, but was a good day for trekking thanks to the warm sun light. The last winter had much less snow than usual, so it was thawing fastly. Mizubasho in Mizubasho Marsh got to bloom already.

Usually, we can see a lot of remaining snow in the park in this season. The fresh green trees and leaves were so beautiful. I could find some shoots on the branches. Mizubasho was in the almost full bloom and there were many people taking photos of these cute flowers.

We could see Mizubasho in Watasuge Marsh as well. However, the flowers looked to lack energy, because of the frost on May 29. Other highland flowers also welcomed us and told the arrival of the summer season.

Most of wooden paths were open already, only except for the section from Ukishima Marsh to the steep stairs in Yase-one. The toilet near Kusugawa River was also available.

“Tsugaike Nature Park Opening Festival” was held at 11:00 a.m. After the Shinto ritual in front of Tsugaike Visitor Center, there was Mochi-tsuki Event near Tsugaikesanso and people enjoyed fresh Mochi (rice cake).
