Zenkoji Gokaicho

The Zenkoji Gokaicho, a grand ceremony held once every seven years and delayed one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is now underway. This time, various efforts have been made to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection, incuding extending the event to around 3 months,  and applying a special anti-viral coating to the Eko-bashira pillar.
