Madarao Kogen / ◎430cm / Snowy2022.Feb.22
This morning with heavily falling dry snow, I met 2 people from Ishikawa Prefecture (Photo) and they gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports! This is our second time to come to Madarao. We are really looking forward to the tree run here!” Super Quad (Left on Photo) is closed because of the electricity outage that happened on Feb. 21 (Mon), but it will be reopened on Feb. 26 (Sat).

Therefore, I took No.2 Quad to get up to the upper areas today. When I skied down on the nicely firm groomed slope of lower Giant, the 6-8cm fresh snow was flowing over my skis smoothly. The off-piste area of the slope along No.2 Quad had 20cm fresh snow, so many people got into there early this morning. The groomed slope of Curving was relatively quiet, so we could enjoy the nicely firm groomed slope comfortably.

College students from Tokyo (Photo) said, “We came to Madarao for the first time by Orion Tour. All of our members are still beginners, but we feel no pains even when we fall down thanks to the soft fluffy snow!” The groomed slope of Utopia which was nicely firm today is an 1km long course good for beginners.

Utopia (Photo) where is a place for “Free Snowboard Lesson for Beginners” and Paradise were as crowded with people as weekends. No.2 Quad had a line of people and it took about 3 minutes to get on the lift. The snow was getting weaker at around 10:00 a.m. and we could see the soft sunlight sometimes.
