Hakuba Iwatake / △125cm / Sunny2020.Feb.28

20022801_iwatakeThe rime looked beautiful against the blue sky in the middle and lower parts of Snowfield. It was cold both at the foot and top in the early morning due to the radiation cooling. There was no wind and the temperature gradually went up after the sun rose. It was a little too warm when the slope opened.
[South Slope]
20022802_iwatakeThe compacted powder snow felt soft in South Slope! The snow was enough to cover all bushes as we had continuous snow from February 26 (Wed) till last night. “We look forward to your reports! We’re taking a paid holiday. We work up early to come here.”, two snowboarders from Toyama said.
[South Slope]
20022803_iwatakeThe compacted powder snow felt soft in East Slope, Sawa Course and North Slope. Every item was in good condition in DC PARK in North Slope, which opened at 9:30. I enjoyed skiing down smoothly, although the snow was melting a bit.
[North Slope]
20022804_iwatakeThe sun gradually got hidden by the clouds. The powder snow was moderately firm in Gezan Course, while the granular snow was firm in Sunny Valley Course. However, the snow layer was partially thin and melting in the middle and lower parts of the Sunny Valley Course. The granular snow was sleety in Paradise Slope.
