It was hailing in the morning sunshine. “I look forward to your reports! I’ll have training at Omachi Gakuyo High School.”, an instructor at Hakuba Iwatake Snowboard School said. The snow was nicely firm covered with a thin layer of fresh snow in East Slope.

Snowy clouds came out and it started to snow around 8:30 a.m. The gentle wind also began to blow. “The park is great, there’s not much snow though,”, a digger at DC park said. 6 m kickers opened today.

There was about 1cm of fresh snow over the firm, dry, compacted snow in North Slope. It was in the best condition ever. “I look forward to your reports! I’m snowboarding with three single ladies who I have just met (haha).”, a man from Shizuoka said.

There were ski tracks from yesterday and the non-compacted snow was rough in South Slope (pictured), VIEW C and VIEW D. “We sometimes read your report. We used to be in the same trekking club. We’ve been known each other for 40 years.”, four skiers from Tokyo said. By the way, “Iwatake Thanks Festival” will be held on Feb, 1 (Sat)!
