It was hot with a strong sunshine around 10 a.m., so some riders took off their snow wears. Two skiers from Niigata said, “We always check your reports! We also ski in the ski areas in Niigata but we are going to enjoy here Hakunori for three days.”
[Rabbit Course]
Layer of melted snow was thick at Highway Course and skis were not running well, so it was bit difficult ski there. Only few people were skiing at Kamoshika Course. Snow was melted soft but skis were running and I could make turns comfortably.

In Wakaguri Forest Course, the skiers right of the beginning to the middle stage were covered with the shade of trees, so it was good to slide down on the thin melted burns. On the other hand, it was hard to slide down on the thick burns along the 6th high-speed pair lift and at the last stage.

There were many ups and downs with granular snow in Rabbit Course. Wakaguri Chuo Slope was flat with melting snow. A family from Shizuoka said, “We always read your reports! My grandson is a beginner, so it’s so hard to teach under a hot weather. The season of Kawazu Cherry blossoms in Izu has ended.”
