It was raining weakly at the village from yesterday afternoon, but it stopped before the opening this morning. The thick fog covered the middle to top of the ski area. People started slowly maybe because of the forecast was rainy weekday and thick fog.
[Upper part of Route 1]
About 10 cm wet snow was covered nicely firm corn snow on the upper part of Route 1. The skis were running well but I felt the new snow heavy when I made turns. After that, it was difficult to make turns when the slope got rough with many ski tracks.
[Upper part of Route 1]
Route 8 was groomed late, so there were no fresh snow on the slope. Corn snow and fresh snow was mixed and groomed, so it was very nice condition to ski. But the visibility was low and people were riding slowly.
[Upper part of Route 8]
Route 5 & 6 were also fresh snow was mixed corn snow condition. I could make turns comfortably there. The visibility got better when I slide down to lower part of Route 1. The slope was wet corn snow but the skis were running well.
