I had expected the slope would be hard this morning due to the chill during nightime after it had melted during sunny daytime yesterday. However, my expectation was wrong in a positive way.
The compacted area of the upper Route1, which occupied about two-thirds of the slope, was nicely firm with powder snow! It was flat and my skis ran well. I saw lots of people sliding down with speed without stopping in the morning.
[Upper area of Route1]
The upper area of Route8 and Panorama Course were also covered with powder snow. Meanwhile, non-compacted area of the upper Route1, which occupied about one-third of Route1, and snow beside Route8 was hard. It was cloudy but blue sky appeared, a soft sunlight casted and it snowed lightly sometimes.
