Cortina / ○225cm / Sunny & Cloudy2019.Mar.29

19032901_cortinaTrees at the top area were covered with rime and standing against spring twilight. A little amount of snow from last night was pressed on Hiedayama Rinkan Course. The powder snow was nicely soft and I couldn’t believe the slope would be closed only in three days.

19032902_cortinaThe surface of Itadaira Course was a bit wet in the sunshine, however, it was soft, flat and great overall. The slope was crowded with beginners, intermediate skiers/snowboarders and families with small children. There were not many people using No.4 Pair and Itadaira Course was kept smooth.

19032903_cortinaIt was much more chilly this morning than yesterday morning, however, it got warmer after the slope opened. Dry granular snow was well-compacted and firm at Ipponmatsu Course in the early morning. My skis ran smoothly as the ski edges cut into the snow well.

19032904_cortinaIkenota Slope was getting melted and my skis were sometimes stuck as it got much warmer around 10 am. “I enjoy your reports! I’ve decided to come here, reading your reports. The amount and quality of snow is great even though it’s almost the end of the season.”, a man coming from Hyogo Prefecture with his family said.
