It was suuny and warm day with a blue sky. The 4th and the 5th pair lifts didn’t work yesterday, so there would wonderful fresh snow at the top of slopes. The sliders in front of the 4th pair lift before opening this morning were sliding into the tree area, Mt. Hieda Course 2 and 3 as soon as gettinf of the lifts.

There was 20~30cm fresh snow at the tree area from yesterday and there was also abour 20cm fresh snow in Mt. Hieda Course 1. The surface of the snow was dried and light but when stepping into, we felt the heviness. And, there were many bamboo pole for the caution for cracks at the bottom of the Mt. Hieda Course 2.

Itahira Course was soft and good condition for sliding with groomed burns! There was about 30cm fresh snow at the side of the beginning area, so some sliders turned straight. But we also felt the heaviness of the snow.

The burns of Ipponmatsu Course was a little bit hard with fine granular snow in the early morning. It was good for sliding on the granular burns in Ikenoda Slope and the surface were shaved and became wet around 9:30. By the way, Rabbit Course will be reserved for Snow Festival of Shiga prefecture Skii Federation on Mar. 9th (Sat.) and 10th (Sun.).
