It was a high-cloudy and calm gloomy morning. The whole area in Ikenota Slope was groomed. At the early stage, it was good to slide down on the groomed granular snow with edges biting snow and the snow became softer as going down.

The South wind blew a little bit strongly at the top of slopes. At the early to middle stage of Mt. Hieda Course1, there were some moguls on the compacted snow, so we needed technics to slide down and even advanced skies were also turning carefully. The moguls at the last stage were small but hard, so some beginners and intermediates coming from Mt.hieda Forest Course had troubles with.

The early stage of Mt.Hieda Forest has been groomed and compacted well and from the middle there were many hard snow balls but that’s no problem to slide down. By the way, a big crack is crossing the course at the last stage of Mt.Hieda Course 2. And Giant Course and Mt.hieda Course 3 were also closed because of bad conditions.

The whole area in Ipponmatsu Course was also groomed well with granular snow, so we enjoyed sliding down at a high speeds. Two girls from Ishikawa talked to us, “We have enjoyed skiing in Cortina since yesterday. We usually go to slopes near our area, but now we are enjoying the good snow and condition in Hakuba!”
