It was warm and the sunshine feels nice. There were lots of clouds in the southwestern sky, however, the blue sky spread above Cortina. Wasabidaira Slope, which was widely compacted, was firm and nice in the early morning.

Hiedayama Rinkan Course was also firm and nice. Tracks that were left yesterday in shallow hollows in the non-compacted steep slope, Hiedayama Course 1, had frozen today. I felt like trying again after its melting because my skis were sometimes stuck.

Ikenota Slope and Itadaira Course were well-compacted and nicely firm. Corduroy patterns remained for a long time on Itadaira Course, which was not crowded. A mother from Kanagawa said, “my six-year-old daughter is afraid of snowboarding on her own, so we’re sliding down together.”

Ikenota Slope was crowded with skiers and snowboarders, including a group of student from Osaka, young people, and families. Wasabidaira Slope, which got a lot of sunshine, was melting and getting soft around 10:00. Somehow, it was alright as my skis ran well.
