Nozawa Onsen / △50cm / Sunny2021.Nov.30
At 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 30 (Tue), Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort started the 2021-22 winter operation and Nagasaka Gondola was open! Now, 5 courses of Yamabiko A-E are available. Although the snow was still not enough to cover all bumps or waves of terrains under the snow, the groomed slope of Yamabiko D (Photo) was so good that we could enjoy comfortable riding.

Yamabiko A Course (Photo) was also in great condition as well as C Course and D Course. Powdery fresh snow was remaining on both sides of the course. I saw people rushing into the 5-10cm fluffy snow one after another.

A couple from Nagano City who have SHIGA × NOZAWA BIG 2 PASS (Photo) talked, “We always enjoy your reports! We never thought we would enjoy riding on such great snow even on the first day. The length of the slopes is also nice. We will go back to work in the afternoon.” By the way, the ski track in Kokenashi B Course was made by the staff for patrolling.

Nagasaka Gondola was slowed down because of the strong south wind blowing in the upper areas. Uenotaira Area (Photo) was also groomed today. The gentle slope which has a length of 2,000m will be open on Dec. 4 (Sat)!
