Hakuba Iwatake / ○130cm / Snowy & Sunny2020.Feb.11
Due to the intense cold after 2/6 (Thu) and several degrees of snowfall, the downhill course and the Sunny Valley course can slide on the 2/7 (Fri), today’s Sawa course and White Ribbon course! Everyone from all over the Kansai region said, “I’m always watching. I met Snownavi three days in a row on Tsugaike day before yesterday, Cortina yesterday, and Iwatake today. It’s the best snow quality today!” .

In the morning, in addition to light snow, gas was hanging around the Iwatake summit. The southern slope with wide compacted snow is soft powdery snow condition. Many people slid into the non-compact snow area of the skiers’ light where fresh snow was on about 15 cm in search of powder.

On the northern slopes where the powdered snow was moderately compacted, the beautiful corduroy pattern continued. In the morning, most people aimed for fresh snow of 15 to 20 cm in the non-compact snow area (pictured) on the course side. The light snow stopped around 8:30, and soon the sun began to shine through the clouds.

VIEW D will be closed today from 13:00 to 2/14 (Fri) to hold the “Student Ski Competition IWATAKE”. In VIEW C and VIEW D where the compacted snow covered the entire surface and the powdered snow was properly tightened, I was able to ride the speed comfortably by looking at the hoarfrost.
