20010501_iwatakeDue to heavy snow yesterday and today, the amount of snow has exceeded 100cm!  A teacher at Hakuba Iwatake Snowboard School posed with the students, saying, “I am always taking care of you.  The East Slope where the powdered snow was compacted was soft and slippery.

20010502_iwatakeView C and View D open today from 10 o’clock!  Visitors slid down cheering with about 20 people waiting at the entrance of the course.  View C had a soft, slippery condition with pistens filling the entire course width from the beginning (photo) to the middle.

At the end of View C, about half of the course width is non-compact.  Visitors heard loud cheers and sprays on powder snow, which was 50cm deep.  View D also had a non-compact snow area in the middle and late stages.

20010504_iwatakeOn the northern slopes, half of the course width was compacted snow and the other half was non-compacted snow, and there was about 30 cm of fresh snow in the non-compacted snow area.  The falling snow gradually weakened, but the gas melted and melted … By the way, the two people from Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture, who gave me the password, were sorry to be unable to post photos due to a new reporter’s focus mistake.
