The snow was falling in the strong north wind and the cars in the parking area got snow on the windows. A mother of a family staying at Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba said, “I saw piste clawlers grooming the slopes last night and was surprised that they groomed even the steep slope of Itadaira Course! (Max 31°, Average 26°)”

It was announced that No.1 Pair would be closed yesterday, but it was still open this morning. One of the staff said, “It has not decided whether No.1 Pair will be open tomorrow or not yet. The snow is still enough, but we are not sure…. Please check the updates on our official Facebook account.” The groomed slope of Ippon-matsu Course was firm, covered with thin fresh snow and in good condition for cruising.

A father from Kurashiki City in Okayama Prefecture said, “I am staying at Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba today. The upper areas still have such a lot of snow! I will enjoy with my family together today and tomorrow!” Mt. Hieda Rinkan Course was in a fantastic mood with the fogs and frozen trees. The visibility got better and better as I skied down to Itadaira Course.

The groomed corn snow slope of Ikenota (Photo) was nicely firm and covered with 2cm fresh snow as well. The surface started to melt at around 9:00 a.m, so the edges of my skis worked well there. It was still blowing a strong north wind, but we could see the sunlight sometimes.
